The National Wildlife Database (NWD) is a Government initiative implemented by the Wildlife Research and Training Institute (WRTI) under sections 60 and 61 of the Wildlife Conservation and Management Act (WCMA), 2013. It serves as the single reference point for wildlife information to improve coordination, planning, and sustainable decision-making across Kenya's conservation programs.
